Xbox has xbox media center installed, with a 160gig hdd.

Drive needs to be formatted and updated with newest version of XBMC, but this is a fun and easy project that almost anyone can do.

I'll clear up some questions about the xbox.


This xbox is modified with a so-called "soft mod", it contains no mod chip, or other hardware modifications.

The process is quite simple:

Removed old xbox hdd
Formatted 160gig hdd with my desktop computer.
Put 160gig into xbox, transfered over xbox media center.
??
Profit!!


I mainly used this modded xbox to stream video from my pc (bedroom) to living room (big tv)

the xbox media center interface is quite lovely for this.


All this said, the current install is bugging out on me lately, and I think it's time for a fresh format, which I cannot do since I don't have a desktop computer anymore.

But, I can point the buyer to the appropriate xbox modding forums, where it is pretty much a step by step process to remod.
