Wow what's your secret sauce? If I'm lucky maybe I'll get an A+ before I graduate, but only if the stars align and it's a leap year.Originally posted by Pahnda

How are you guys getting all these A's???
Shit sakes.
Thanks man, and yeah, I just finished up in Electrical; the most awesome department! hahaOriginally posted by diamondedge

The department I finished up in is what I'm interested in. Plus having to keep my GPA relatively high to keep the door open for law in a couple/few years sorta kicked me into gear for studying, hahaOriginally posted by vinc456

Haha not really but people (like myself) are just disagreeing with the prof's 'custom' grade scheme that no one knew.Originally posted by msommers

Pahnda, I just finished 2nd year Electrical and always wondered about classes in the future. Was 3rd year the hardest year like most people say? I'm actually just glad there isn't any more C programming.Originally posted by Pahnda

Yeah C++ programming was fucking stupid. When I did it in in first year, I thought 233 would be an easy A, then it got much more complicated and it was just a huge waste of time trying to debug something you don't know what the terminal is telling you the error is.Originally posted by Disoblige

Disoblige; I just finished 3rd year and I found it to be quite difficult. Fall semester was fine...however the workload this winter semester was just ridiculous. I'll admit I did add to it by being in FSAE but even then it was by far too much. From what I understand lots of things will change for you next year (Different courses added some becoming tech-electives etc) so I can't really say. However. Beware of ENEL453!!!
Thanks diamondedge! I wonder if its existing courses added or courses changed altogether. For my year, ENEL327, ENEL361 were changed up so I found the exams to be quite easy because its the first time the course was taught like that
Yeah, I have a buddy who told me the latter part of 361 was changed to introduce BJT's and the sort. That's good to hear.
My FALL09 semester had ENEL463, which was basically a superfast review of diodes and the quantum mechanics of 361, then straight into BJT's. From what I've heard, ENEL463 will still be offered but it's material will be changed to also have stuff from ENEL465 which I took this winter, because you guys already have the background of BJT's from SMAG.
As for ENEL327, not too sure.
Things that should remain the same will be
Fall
ENEL475 Electromagnetic Fields
ENEL419 (Unless you took ENGG319, not too sure) Stats for Zoo
ENEL407 Numerical Methods (should still be the same)
ENEL 463
ENEL 441 Control Systems. Remember transfer functions? Lots of it.
Winter, who knows!
ENEL327 was taught for the first time by Anis Haque who originally taught something similar at U of T (I think it was UT). First year was a complete joke. Norm Bartley told me that 327 was one of the hardest for him so lucky for us we got a first time instructor for the course. All he did was use book examples (not even problems) for the midterm and final exam. Needless to say, I caught on from the midterm and quizzes and the "hard final" became a joke if you looked at the examples.
I can't believe a professor can get away with something like that. Sheer laziness IMO. He wasn't very popular in this course anyways.
Ahh shit, finals coming up for me.
