Experienced Installer Needs Help!!!

Hey,
I have been installing stereos with my dad and step-dad since i was around the age of 14, i know my way around a good installation, although recently when installing my 2 12" kicker comp vr's i ran into a problem got the amp hooked up the cap everything is hooked up and working preoperly. Just only when the deck is in tuner mode will the amp turn on, i checked my remote line all of that is hooked up sounds excellent when listening to the radio...But when i put it on cd the led on the amp goes out and there is no one home, I am running some old alpine deck..If anyone knows or has had this problem please post..

remote line is hooked to power antenna and not to the remote line.

wiht most decks you can get away with using the power antenna line, but wiht certain decks the power antenna is only powered on when the tuner is on so that the antenna woudl stay down when you were listening to cds.

There is probably another wire marked as remote (possibly) or maybe marked as *something*12+ maybe switched 12+.

Either way that is your problem

You might have to run a "switched 12v" wire directly to the amp instead of relying on the decks output.

^ hes right, some decks have seperate remote wires for the antenna and amp...jus make sure u get the correct blue wire...
