m roadster is very nice but a little to much in price unless you go older style and they are so hard to find

I say Boxster S. You see an E46 M3 on every street corner. Boxster S is still a really decent car, even though it may be slower.

I imagine the M3 would be more easy to live with daily but the porsche boxster would be more fun for the occasional stint.
guess it depends on price and purpose behind your purchase.

They both nice .. and they are both everywhere .. (But you see M3 in winter too) ...

Do u enjoy driving a topless car? if u don't care topless or not, then M3 coupe .. if u want a topless car, then Boxster S ... M3 cab is nice too, but a bit too heavy .. I like the coupe better.

I'd get the E46 M3 (actually probably will get one myself). It is really hard to beat it as an all around car.. supercar like performance, very easy to live with and very classy styling.

I've always wanted a Porsche, and the Boxster S is a great car, I just don't like them as much.

I would go with the E46 M3 as it would be more practical than the boxter s plus its a blast to drive

I found the Boxster S to be much more fun to drive than an e46 m3. The e46 is nice, it does everything well but it doesnt have that extra pizzazz and fun to drive feel that the Porsche has. For people who say its for people who cant afford a 911...well the Boxster is what the 911 used to be. Simple, light, quick!

^^^ The 2002 Boxter S is not very quick. I've driven both several times, and I would take the M3. Before 2006, the boxters were not put together that well. Lots of creaks/rattles, just didn't feel soild. The M3's are built amazingly and fit and finish is top notch. Also, the boxters are dissapointingly slow - even the cayman S was a little slow IMO. If those 2 cars are your choices, M3 all the way. Additionally, the M3 is more practical. Or you can do it right and buy a M5 (if you like them)

Having driven both, (except the boxster was a 2006) I would have to say the boxster was more fun to drive as well. I'll agree that the E46 has much more power and is quicker, but I would go as far as saying the boxster is slow... i'd call it decently quick but slow for a porsche.

    Because they're totally different cars.
    STi > Boy Racer
    M3 > Luxury Sport Coupe.

Plus, power is the only thing going for Subaru's. Interior is really cheaply made. There's nothing luxurious about it.

But the new LIMITED gives some more luxury features to the STi....and no big boy racer spoilers......I guess if i wasn't driving a STi the M3 would be my next choice if i had the funds......i guess i had to re-think the whole boxster thing!
