Hey guys, I just happened to see this post in a Google search. Before anyone makes crazy assumptions and burns these guys at the stake, I happen to know Chris and David D'Angelo. I see and talk to them every week at the auction. They are perfectly legit auto dealers. The owner is actually Chris, not David. They are a son and father team and have over 20 years experience. The prices you see on their site are very commonplace for this region. The reason the prices are so low is that they buy lease returns at auctions directly from VW and Audi. They are late-model, one-owner cars most of the time. I would strongly urge you to look into their cars if you are interested because there is no scam at all here. I do the same thing and couldn't imagine someone calling me a scam artist because everything auto dealers do here is state regulated. Thanks for your time.

you all do realize that its in american dollars right? Look in the AMERICAN autotrader with a portland zip code... you'll see that most of the cars in there are selling for aroundt he same price as D'angelo. Remember this is in AMERICA not CANADA. So no, it's not a scam.

I dont seem to see this phaeton on the link provided. Im guessing it's a V8 version of the car... and the MRSP on the new ones with a V8 were in the mid 60's USD unless it was a W12... then you'll be getting near the 90k mark. However yes 35k is a little low... consider id expect those cars in that year to be around mid 40's.

    Hey people,
as you all know, the Phaeton did not do well in the North American market due to poor marketing and major dealership faults. They go for really really cheap at the auctions because they are hard to sell. I know a VW franchise dealer in Germany who recently bought 60 or 70 Phaetons directly from VW (company demo cars). They are offering them to other dealers in Europe and the US for around $12,000 USD each. Now how much do you think they bought them for? I still don't see why there is doubt here about D'Angelo, these prices are completely normal. The reason there is no more link to the Phaeton is because both Phaetons they had were recently sold, so someone got a lot of car for the money.

    Are you guys dense?

The cars are US Spec, located in the US, priced in US dollars.

What makes this so hard to understand? The prices are in line with the US retail market prices.

As to the Phaeton price - what do you expect? The car was a flop, so of course the used ones are cheap. Simple supply/demand... there may not be a lot of supply, but there is even less demand.

And it's "too" good to be true.

They might be a legit dealer in the stats, but it'll be a pain in your ass to get one simply because you need to bring across the border.
