Default FS: Sirius Satellite Starmate 3 Radio and 6 Months Free Service

    Hey everyone,

Sorry I guess my old thread got the boot because I don't have proof of purchase.

Anyways I got this off a prize draw which is why I don't have proof of purchase and it's still new in the box. I can take pictures to prove I have the item. If you still don't believe me, I'll send you a link to the website which has my name on it as the winner of the draw.

It's a Sirius Satellite Starmate 3 Radio and comes with 6 months of free service.

    Description here:

    http://shop.sirius.com/edealinv/serv...7875&scId=7875

Selling for $130 to put towards an Ipod.

Reason for selling is that I can't use this in my car, because I don't have a car.

Mods if this thread violates any other rules can you please PM or email me so I don't post it again. Thanks.

Ohhh, thanks for letting me know.

I checked it out and I couldn't find any package deals on the website - though I was surprised to see the radio alone for $80 after a mail in rebate...

I know there's deals that you can get but for most of those you have to subscribe for at least a year and even then the best you usually get is about a month for free.

I'll see how it works out, if I can't sell it I'll probably lower the price.

Thanks for the heads up though.

    Hmmm sports trivia anyone?

Good luck with sale man. Nice guy, great to deal with, and he did win it off a draw.

Edit: I couldn't find that deal that including 6 months service with the radio for 100? So I think this is selling for a reasonable price, BUT maybe a Beyond Member discount is in order?

Wow it really is a small world eh?

On Best buy's website it's $15 a month for the service:

    http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/prodde...gon=&langid=EN

However you do get an extra 20 bucks off when you activate it and if you activate it online it's free. So basically what I'm trying to say is $80 for the radio + $90 for 6 months of service = $170 - $20 rebate = $150.

Therefore my new price = $130.

Would make one hell of a Christmas present.

Hey, does your Sirius sometimes go "offline"? Like the radio sometimes cut out, and we're talking about "open air", no obstruction or nothing...

I paid like $170 for the year

I don't know if it sometimes goes offline tiger...I would assume that since it uses a satellite if the weather is really bad or the signal is blocked it would go down just like satellite TV, but XM should probably have the same problem and I'm sure they don't go down very often or they've have no clients.

Did you pay $170 for the year including a radio or is that just for the service alone?
