2002 civic flip trunk mod

i keep seeing this mod advertised and it looks cool but i have a problem spending $0.99 for instructions lol

yeah go to home depot and get a 2 lil metal brackets, take the existing screw out so your lid comes off...and drill the bracket in...i dunnio why u would wanna do it though??

Having it flip down like that gets in the way of loading big things like luggage or bodies. Not that exciting. If you want to do a trunk mod, get a CF lid.

That page gives you an idea of what hinges to buy, and how to mount them.
Also buy 2 "sliding gate/door latches".
Drill a hole as far back on the trunk lid arm as you can, where the latch can be fastened to the bottom of the trunk lid beside it.
Make the hole in the arm a touch more towards the top of the arm, so it makes a tight fit with the latches pin.

It's kindof a stuoid mod, but non-car people think it's just crazy! (I like it, and have it; if you were at the meet last night, you saw it.)
