Have you checked if anyone has a boxing week special on them? Future Shop/Best Buy?
I don't mind BB but it's the commission based FS guys that I think are rude and obnoxious. Totally different attitude in the stores.
Macbook pricing is all the same everywhere (besides the student discount), Apple sets their pricing and thats what everyone sells it at. Thats why u rarely see any discounts or different pricing on their stuff.Originally posted by Redlyne_mr2

I personally bought mine at Westworld Computers because they are an authorized Mac dealer/repair facility. Any warranty work can be done through them and you don't have to ship your equipment out, they test and repair the equipment there. If they diagnose and need parts, you can have your Macbook and the parts usually ship out in 2-3 days. Then they call u when they get them and book u in.

That FS behavior is also handy if you use it in your favor to negotiate prices. (ie they are more dependent on their sales).Originally posted by Cruz

before you go into fs, do your research on what models they hold, stump them with a few questions and they wont bug you ever again i'm avoided like the plague until i ask them to get something for me i get to shop in peace, lmao i love it
You get student discount on Macs if you buy online
I also agree for buying online - hassle free and you can get a student discount.

u only get student discount either by phone or online.
+1 for online...if you have any issues, you can take it locally to the apple authorized dealers. No store can beat their student/teacher rates
Psalm 144(1): Blessed be the Lord my strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight.
You get them too by buying directly from the University, however its stupid because the educational price on apples website is always lower than what the university is selling for (and they refuse to match...)Originally posted by asifka

apple education online is almost always the cheapest! But, if you upgrade memory don't do it through apple. memory express is much cheaper. Any applecare warranty work can be done locally through westworld regardless of where the computer is purchased.

Has anyone used the apple educational discount with an ID after you have graduated? My ID is still attached to my name at the U of C however I'm not a current student.
The Micro store is garbage. I was going to buy and ipod from them, however they do not except returns if the package is open, even if the item is a lemon. The guy said I would have to send it to apple and make a warranty claim to get a new one. Its not worth buying from them, I would just do it online.Originally posted by tulit
