Default STi Wing on Non STi

    For or Against?

Is it more acceptable if the car was modded?

Only if modded. You need somethin else to balance out the bench in the back!

Personally I think the STi spoiler is sweet looking, I'm a huge fan of large wings that actually /do something/ from the factory. Sticking an STi spoiler on a 2.5RS or something is a lame, but if the car is modified accordingly (Has the power to back up the look) Then I say it's 100% alright. Stock wrx + sti spoiler = no.. but if the wrx is modified where it's better or at least very close to an STi then I'd say go for it.

With everything, though, it's personal preference.. Mine just so happens to be the same as Jaymez's

I LOVE the STI wing Sam...but WRX's/STI's without a wing or the little spoiler are even hotter looking and so much more sleeperish IMHO...

I was debating the same thing for my WRX. Still undecided. I already get asked if my car is an Sti all the time. I guess it's because it doesn't have badges. But if you know subaru it's easy to tell it's not...

Did you ever end up getting your suspension?

It is ok on WRXs and old school Imps if modded properly. Throwing one on a stock 02+ 2.5rs doesn't do it for me though.

    Don't do it.

if you do it, you may as well get one of those APC aluminum wings.

The shopping cart handle is a signature. It would be like putting quad exhaust tips on a non M car. Ricerony. Uncle Bens to the max.

its very common @ subby dealers, problem is the deal will only do it if you get the pricey upgraded support torsion springs too (at least in ontario)

Its because the 06 and 07 WRX and STI pretty much share the same body kit and hood scoop. The only differentiating factor at a glance would be the spoiler.

The only giveaway would be the colour of the brake calipers and the rear roof vane spoiler.

My ideal look would be to get rid of the STI spoiler, get an RS trunk and an STI Limited spoiler painted to match. Only thing holding me back is having to drill holes in the trunk and also having to mount the third brake light since the Limited spoiler does not have the LEDs like the STI spoiler does. If/when I do, Aleks, you can have dibs on my trunk/spoiler and torsion springs.

No. I'll take dibs! And throw in some Chinese food too

I look at the Chargespeed kit, it just isn't right without the STi wing. I guess I can get the Chargespeed wing but I don't feel like spending $1000-$1400usd on a damn wing! haha

The poll is pretty split. Decisions!

I personally really like the STi spoiler.

However, if I had an option to replace it, I would seriously consider the Syms Carbon Fiber Rear Spoiler....

Now that I've seen the stealth look of the 07 Ltd STi I am all for no spoiler:

Doesn;t matter if it's a WRX or an STi...

but anyone who slaps one on an RS or un-modded WRX needs to be slapped...

^this is what I have to say about that...

^ heh the STi limited has a trunk lid spoiler.

i agree with the rest, if your car is modded then add a wing. but the STi wing weighs abit and personally i wouldnt add it on, the imprezas weigh enough as it is.

i like the syms spoiler over the STi ones.
