Need help on GPU

i'm building a new computer, but don't know which gpu to choose from. will 2xGeForce 7950 GT OC 512MB peform better than one 8800 gts 640 MB?

Yes they will, but I would go with the single 8800 and in the future you can add another one and be super pimping.

i think it was on a dx9 games the dual 7950 GTs will out perform the 8800 but on dx10 games its a different story. Although i'm not completely sure if it was the gts or the gtx in the article i read.

thanks for the advice guys bought a 8800 gtx, and it's great. The 8800 gtx is hugh, i can barely fit it in my antec 900 case.

I thought I read that two 7950's in SLi lost to the 8800GTX in MaxPC's gaming rig a month or two ago
