    Default h23/f22 frankenstein issues

I just finished my h23 headswap onto my f22 block and after carefully reassembling everything, it started up but had been rough and detonating and popping really bad at the really low end of acceleration. It sounds perfect when deceleraing through downshifts, but it is slow and sounds like shit on acceleration. I am running a stock p14 right now as it seemed to work the best, I have my base ignition timing set at 16 degrees advance, valve timing is correct, the thing sounds and feels like a damn lawnmower. Any advice?
