Recommend a good Optometrist
I need a good Optometrist, hopefully in or close to SW Calgary or area if he/she is really good. I'm looking to not only update a prescription, but also to get a full eye health exam. Any suggestions would be appriciated as my current guy is on vacation and I broke my only pair of glasses.

I researched this when I moved to Calgary too and had a few friends recommend this guy. I'm in the SW too (by Westbrook Mall) so its a fairly lengthy drive but for eyesight I believe its worth it.

+1 for dr. gohill. i'm not a patient of his, but i've met him at a research talk that he gave. good doctor. knows his stuff, and is quite pleasant.
plus, ophthalmologist > optometrist.

Dr. Armstrong, either one of them, they are brothers that have a practice beside Westbrook Mall behind Manning.

First off, they are not brothers, one is the Dad and one is the son... unless they are brothers with a 30 year age difference.
Secondly, this is the normal place I go to, but they are not doing eye exams as they are gone on vacation.
Lastly, I found a place and already went, thanks for the suggestions.

Bumping this also. Near downtown would be best.
I've never worn glasses before, and require a full examination with face measurement. I'm going to order my glasses online.

Edworthy Vision in 5th ave place has some machinery that nobody else has except for the retinal clinic at the hospital where there is a huge wait. You definitely get some things you won't get at any other eye doctor, as far as I know. I've been happy with them.
