Does anyone have a better quality map or aerial photograph of the Race City road course than the crappy one on their website?

This is the best one I've seen...

I think turns 1 2 and 3 are a little off, but other than that pretty good.
Thanks Rage
Just for the record, here is the map from the RCMP site.
I think I have an aero picture and Ithink someone in the club has a CAD of the place. Ask on the CSCC forum some has it on file.
this is one that I scanned in before, it's not the best but it's big has hell

That looks like one hell of a straightaway.

That looks like one hell of a straightaway.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”

Nearly half a mile worth, enough to get most cars up to close to top speed.Originally posted by Hakkola

Drag racing is for fast cars. Solo 2 is for fast drivers.
Not the top speed but in the neighborhood I suppose.Originally posted by 4wheeldrift

Well, I was close to topping out in my subaru. I still had a gear left to go in the mustangOriginally posted by DSM Power

Hello,
I am from bc, but live in northern ab now, What all is necessary? Or how can you get to run on the track?
I have a 91 civic, and I would like to see how it would do once I get suspension for it.

Turn 11 looks like it could be a bit tricky...what kind of speeds are you guys holding through there?
Looking for a new VW? How about a used vehicle? We are Central Albertas #1 source for pre-owned vehicles
I will beat any deal on a new VW for beyonders

Well, its right after the carousel so its a fairly slow corner, though most cars accelerate through it onto the straight. Through the carousel I'm usually about half way through second, say 3000rpm or so in the mustang. Probably 80-100km/h or so (thats perhaps a bit slow). Never actually looked at the speedo through there to find out before.

I topped mine out at 187 very easily on that strait, long before the turn braking point.Originally posted by DSM Power

For the record, I saw 254 on the clock in the 996tt of George Curnews at the brake into one. Most quick cars will break the 200k barrier if you get a good drive out of the carousel
I can attest that too and then being thrown forward from braking for corner 1Originally posted by milesmcewing

haha .. actually yah . i took this from the airplane on my way to cali 2 motnhs ago ..
I've been able to hit 245ish with the top up in the AMG, then HARD on the brakes for turn 1. Marc hit 241 in my 944 turbo last year on the straight on pump gas .

Is that going all out or easy into 1? The Diablo 6.0 hit 255 yesterday at the Tunerworks track day, and that was braking early .Originally posted by milesmcewing
