These little chicken eggs are cruchy, not soft like those stuffed mini muffin from stampede.

White Tiger, are you willing to sell your steel frame?

    No one? They're uber yummy!

New styles, chocolate flavor, taro flavor, coconut sesame flavor, yummm......!

New info, they are called "egg puffs" or "egg waffles" or "eggettes". researching on those names gave me some receipies:

    RECIPE #1

    Flour .................... 5 oz
Baking powder ...... 1 1/4 tsp (it says 5/4 tsp)
    Cornstarch ............ 1 oz
    Custard power ....... 1 tbsp

    Sugar .................... 5 oz
    Water .................... 5 oz
    Eggs ...................... 2
    Evaporated milk...... 2 tbsp
    Oil ......................... 2 tbsp

Sift together the first 4 ingredients; beat the eggs and sugar,
add milk and water. Stir dry ingredients in, add oil last.
Heat both sides of griddle, add batter to about 80% full.
Close griddle and cook over medium heat for 2 minutes per side.
Remove with fork and serve immediately.

    RECIPE #2

    Hong Kong "Little Eggs"
    6 eggs
    6 oz. sugar
    6 oz water
    6 oz white flour
    1/2 oz corn starch
    1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Cream eggs and sugar until fluffy. Add water. Sift dry ingredients into
egg mixture. Grease mold and heat until *very hot* before swiftly pouring
in batter, filling each depression about 60% full. Close mold tightly and
immediately invert pan in different directions to ensure even coverage
of batter on all sides. Then place pan over low heat for about 3 minutes
    on each side.

    RECIPE #3

    RECIPE #2
    http://rthk27.rthk.org.hk:62500/mdc/...cuen/food3.htm

    Flour ............... 100 g ... 4 oz
    Baking powder ... 1 tsp ... 1 tsp
    Cornstarch ..........25 g ... 1 oz
    Custard power ... 1 tbsp

    Sugar ............... 100 g ... 4 oz
    Water ............... 125 ml .. 4 oz
    Eggs ..................2
    Evaporated milk .. 60 ml ...2 oz
    Oil .................... 2 tbsp

The same instructions as above except the oil is added by brushing onto
    the griddle before each batch.

As with pancakes or waffles, griddles tend to stick for the first 2 or 3 batches after which it should become seasoned.

Bump. Is there anywhere that serves this? I know Hi-Tea in Dragon City does but the girl there always ruins them because she's anxious and they stick to the pan!

The Pacific Place mall (the one with the T&T supermarket) has a crepe place that sells the HK style egg waffles. It was okay IMO, better than most in Calgary. It wasn't as crispy on the outside as I'd like, but overall the taste was correct.

This is coming from a person from HK who knows what a proper egg waffle in HK should taste like.

I highly suggest you DO NOT go to Hot Point 3:30 for it
    It is horribly disappointing

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

I've met both jwslam and realazy can assure they both Asian. Never met dj_rice in person yet tho, so have to see to believe.

Eating eggettes at hot pointe 3:30 is like those free pancake breakfast cooked by the office slacker forced to volunteer 20 second flip on high heat, blop of batter.

Dessert House sucks for it. Ordered two; took 45 minutes and one was burnt.

I think I ordered free range waffles, and they had trouble catching it in the back kitchen.

Even Richmond doesn't compare to HK. The Calgary ones even at Pacific Place are shit. Something about dirty street food that makes is so good. This was my daily must eat growing up in HK. Street vendor operated outside our building entrance and I would go down and get it myself while my grandparents paid later haha.

Yummmmmm. This place in Millbrae (San Fran) is tasty. Crunchy crispy shell, soft warm doughy goodness.
