Smoked taillights

I'll probably be tinting my taillights this week. Nearly black, but very visible when the tails or brake lights are on. I did a few quick photoshops to see what you guys thought.

By the way, I don't have these rims on the car any more. I have the Z Track rims that are also being powdercoated black in the next two weeks.

I dont mind taillight tint

A few guys on here talked me out of it though on my own vehicle, and Im glad I didnt. I think the car looks cleaner without. To each his own though.

If it turns out that like no, I personally dont like smoked out tails on a silver car, but to each his own I guess..

I would not do it personally, i think it is to nice a car to do something irreversable (or extremly expensive to reverse) to it.

by the way, WICKED car... once I finish paying off student loans im gonna be looking for one.

leave it stock looks better, i even got a 72 dollar ticket for mine on my old car

I'll be putting those 19"s back on this week so that I can drive the car while the 18s are being painted.

That is more like what my car will look like, minus the bodykit and ricey decals .

tint them I think it look awsome Iam going to do it to mine to . I dont give a shit what anyony else thinks, it looks sweet and clean

Tinted taillights were cool when I was going to junior high....now not so much and I went to junior high 10 years ago...get it...ha ha


But ur rim choice/color is okay...I would get it powdercoated black but keep a chrome lip

I think if its done right, to the right car "smoked" tail lights look ok.

Has to be really lightly done, not like the GTO black covers from CT lol.

I forgot to mention, I think the tails would look great tinted but I dont think that it is worth it overall. I think once the novelty of it wore off you would regret it

Kinda like buying a mini cooper, sweet for the first while but would get tired of not being able to fit anything into it

Nope, all black. The silver lip is played out anyways.

I think the tinted tails would look better if you shaved the logos and removed the rear windshield wiper, antennae, black license plate frame, and then also tinted the indicators, or whatever lights are at the bottom.

leave them be... personaly i dont think they look that great.... but if u like it then thats what matters i guess

personally, i would not do it that dark

if you are going to tint the tail lights, do it very lightly to just give them a nice tan. if you do it too dark, it will not look good at night (been there, done that ahah)

this is what one of my old cars ended loking like with a light tint, thats as dark as i would go IMO...




also, why not just get the 06 LED tail lights? (if you do not have them allready)
