Setting Up Dual LCDs

Well, I purchased a second Dell LCD when they had them on sale a couple days ago. I just got in this afternoon and now I'm trying to set them both up. I disconnected my "old" monitor and hooked up the new one.


Everything looks as it should on it, but now I'm having problems getting a display on the second monitor. I've gone to desktop properties and "extend my desktop display" but I'm not getting anything on the other monitor?

Are there other settings I have to change? Thanks

i know its dumb to ask but your video card is allowing you to hook up two monitors right? (dual head video card??)

are you getting anything at all on your second montior? like is the light green and not amber?


there is a disk that comes with that video card. if you ran it it should help you setup both your monitors....

also if the above step has been done...restart your comptuer and it should work properly.

If your video card lets you dual head, you should download ultramon to handle the two monitors. Its a fantastic program that allows you more precise control of behavior on the two screens.
