Default Blue LEDs mounted near the Walk/Don't Walk signs on poles at some Intersections

Has anyone seen these? I've done a search and came up with nothing.

I have been curious for sometime now. Is it for transit? A time Delay of some sort?

I phoned 311 and the lady had no clue either.

Super Bright is an understatement. At night they are so bright, the appear to be blurry from a distance.

They are the same color as the gay blue LED washer jets people glue on their cars.

I heard they were the receivers for the bus "priority" signals, where the side the bus is on, goes first... Never heard it confirmed or not, so

Thats exactly what I heard as well - and it makes sence on a road like 16th. You'll either be 10 minutes early, or 10 minutes late riding that road.

Bingo. I complain about this 2 years ago and that's what the city said.

Only seen them on Centre St. so far.

    $20 says he does.

They are for the buses to let them know when the light is going to change, It will hold both sides of the intersection @ red so the the bus can go through the intersection.
