    ^^ ya, a better idea would be go for the cruise before and maybe get a big breakfast or lunch and then off to donate.

    Depends on how big you are, how much blood, etc... My dad gives blood every second monday after work, drives home, sleeps a few hours, then back off to his next job... But he's 6'1" and like 200 lbs, so he can handle it. I'd be up for it, but there are certain restrictions, like no tattoo's within a year, no piercings within like 6 months, or some such thing. Plus they need to screen you as well to make sure you don't have an illness, or anything. I'd probably be up for it as long as this damn flu went away.

    "Feeling dizzy"?
    Have any of you given blood before? It goes away in 10-15 minutes...

    I think this is probably one of the BEST cruise ideas that's been on here for a while. Count me in 100% in April, because I'm in school until then, but I'm looking forward to it. The cruise to/from the Hospital is ok, and eating after is a great idea. Giving blood is important, and I have a good reason to donate. I think all of you do too....

    The other cruises and meets I've been to were a waste of my time... Meeting with stangers to drive around aimlessly, or stand above a parkade for 4 hours This is something I would always come out to.

    My 2 cents... I hope we can get something together when the snow melts.
    Fantastic idea though.

    id really love to do it.. i was watchin the news and they always say give blood and i thought i havnt really done anything to help people so i thought it would be a nice thing to get a couple of us go do a cruse maybe once a month and do this... it would help so much and even give them like 1$ u know,... but if we can set up a time and date it would be pretty cool... after snow melts of course

    Your dad gives blood every second monday? Thats odd, because Canadian Blood Services doesn't allow you to frequent them any more often than every 56 days. There are 7 days in a week.

    That's weird, I know he does it fairly often... Maybe i'm just a retard, lol.

    Well then he probably does it every 56 days... although that seems way too long. I think he does it more often than that.

    Im tellin ya man, he CANT. They don't let you, as they need to give you and your body time to regenerate the removed volume of blood.

    Im down for a group donation though. Depends where at, because some places cant take more than like 5 people per 45 mins (hence why they generally suggest appointments). I usually hit up the place on 13th ave sw by downtown.

    Try again..

    There are different types of donations. Since blood can be separated into different parts, they can take only certain parts of your bloods, some which regenerate faster than others. Blood Plasma can be donated every week. Which is what the guy's father has been doing.

    Thrilling, except for that he said this:

    So, i assumed that by "blood" he meant "blood".

    Anyways, yea, plasma is regenerated within hours, and platelets within days. Congrats

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Let's get a list of people willing to go, and when they are avaliable so that this massive donation can be arranged
    I go right for the sprite and oreo's. That is unless they have good soup that day.
