Coughing up blood?

Hey guys this morning i hocked up a nasty lugee that had a bit of blood in it, has this happened to anyone here before? I didn't think it was normal


I know some smart ass is gonna come in here and tell me to go see a dr, my dr is closed today (walking in tomorrow) and im not one who will go back up the er if it's not a emergency.

how are we smart asses if you are coughing up blood, asked what you should do, and we referrer you to a real doctor.

besides the point, if you were smoking a lot last night or drinking a lot or recently quit smoking that could cause it

I am asking a question UNTIL I can see my doctor tomorrow because he is NOT open today, but yah I don't drink, I usually smoke 2-3 cigs a day yesterday I probably smoked about 6

Notice he said nasty lugee that had a bit of blood in it, not just coughing up tons of blood. If its just a little blood, I wouldnt go looking for Medical help today, unless you want to watch the superbowl in the ER.

If you've just started smoking, or are trying to quit it could be the cause. Or if you've been smoking a while it could be your coughin up lung butter.

phone the calgary health line, they will advise you better then someone on the internet. Probably nothing, but they usually treat blood with coughing as somewhat serious.

Sounds like lung butter to me. Are you new to smoking or recently upped the daily intake?

true he wasnt coughing up lots.

I remeber when I quit; whenever I was in the shower I would cough up some blood. either way the blood is not supposed to be coming out of your lungs. So something isnt right

It wasn't really much blood, just a drop,

It sounds more like a luggee with a bit of blood. How much blood are we talking about here? Was it a one time thing or do you keep coughing?

Nope I've been smoking for 8-9 years, ive smoked as much as a half pack a day before, most of the times i smoke 2-3 a day, but i've been cutting down lots lately, trying to quit and yesterday i probably smoked about 6

Probably has something to do with trying to quit. I remember when I quit blazing for a while I was coughing up stuff for a bit.

Holy shit, smoking since age 11? Dude quit now. Lung blood is not normal. But it could have been from your throat or nose.

i usually get bloodz in mah hacking up ness when ive had a nosebleed. not often too much though. sometimes its still there a day later
