follow the tall buildings to an area we like to call "down" town.
You can find 17th avenue from there, its after 16th and before 18th.

no seriously, that's how you get there..go downtown, keep going up the 'aves' till you hit 17
can i take 16th Ave West, Turn South on center street and keep going straight down to 17th?

Yeah just get yourself to deerfoot then go memorial west til you get to the 4 ave flyover, turn left at 1stSE and keep going til you get to 17ave and go for a cruise!
