my awesome adventure on deerfoot today

so driving along on deerfoot, doin ~120km/hr when all of a sudden, big ass smoke cloud on my right side, i see a piece of rubber hit the side of my car and fly across my windshield, my car was semi-swervin . . . so i slow the car down and pull over to the side, what i find . . .



this was the tire when i got home today

the big ass hole missing the chunk of rubber that ended up on the side of my car

i don't know where i'd go though, i'll take it to audi tomorrow and see if they can do anything about it . . . otherwise, i think it's outta my pocket, i guess i could write bridgestone and send them the pics but by the time they get to responding to me . . . i'll be through my second set of tires already haha

like i said, i have no clue . .. the wheel didn't actualy blow off, just a hole in the tire blew out . . . other than that, i have no clue, your guess is as good as mine

chances are they will give you warranty, but only based on the % tread left. You will have to pay the balance of the cost. Same thing happened to me, except it was -34 outside, and 2:30 in the morning. One of my toyo winters went. Not a fun time!!!

well took it to audi, tires are not covered under audi's warranty, i didn't think so anyways . . . they told me to go to blaskin and lane . . . took it there and they said i had punctured the wheel and ran it flat . . . hecne the damage . . . i told the dude that i've had flat tires before and tires do not blow out when flat . . . they bruise or they tear at stress points . . . he gave me a card to his super and told me to contact him . . . all in all, i've already ordered the tire from my tires inc., pretty good pricing, better than kal tire and way better than audi's (who would've thought?) so wel'l see how good the service is on wed.
