i have a few keys that are hard to press and was wondering how hard it is to pop the key off and see if there is something stuck under it

its like any other key board im guessing..just get something like a pin to pop the keys off..just try not to break them lol
yeah i tryed that lightly and it was a no go they seem more complex then a desk top key board
They are more complex, they use scissor keys that look like this underneath:
You can pry them off with a flat blade screwdriver, but be careful. They take a fair amount of force to pop off.
they are a bitch to fix. Just order a new one, most laptop keyboards are in the 25-40 dollar range
Yeah I always just pop em, and then squish them back on.. they do take some force to click in, and it doesn't feel "quite right" doing it.. you can also try shaking it upside down lightly and blowing aroudn the keys to see if you can knock the crumbs loose.. ha
ebay, i'm replacing mine right now and its around 25 dollars shipped for one

ok so i just pryed it from the bottom and it worked had a peice of 8 gauge wire covering under it but when i clicked it back in it looks and works fine as long and i click the top part of it but if i click the bottom then it just stays in (doesnt type anything though)
for the price of a new keyboard, never ever take the keys off your laptop keyboard, you will most likely never get it back on properly and/or it will never work properly again.Originally posted by ercchry

Take a look at http://www.laptopkey.com/installation_guides.php. It clearly shows how to replace Laptop Keys.
