Does anybody know of any performance upgrades for a 96 3.4l V6 Lumina? The car as is right now has 220hp but I want to make it faster. Any help would be appreciated.

When I had my 90Z24 that was pretty much the only place that I found that sold domestic upgrades in Canada. Question though, what do you expect to get outta your Lumina performance wise?!

Ummm I have a lumina and it is nowhere near 220hp... it's like 20HP....what did you do to it?

The 3.1 V6 has 135 hp if I remember correctly, and the 3.4 V6 has 210 hp.
Its the same engine in the GTP of those years.

Stock Horsepower is 210 so he's 10 off maybe he did exhaust and intake.

I have nothing done too it. Those are the stock specs. I want to make a TRUE SLEEPER. You know that one car you would never think would be fast, and then it blows your doors off. I have looked at the exhaust but it has dual already. I bought this car in 2001 and it had dual exhaust already. I would like to know if there are any sights that have these upgrades.

you picked the wrong car to do up man, they arent true dual exhaust, its a y-pipe that splits into 2 restrictive mufflers at teh back of the car. made to look "Fast"

The body style changed in 1995. They only offered a 160hp engine in the new style.
The last year of production for the 210 hp 3.4L engine was 1994. And it was 210 hp and not 220.

I know that it is a Y Pipe. No I did not pick the car, it was more or less gave to me. I think it would be cool to build it up. Its my opinion. Like all those people that build up imports, I dont like them but they do.

A guy in the states put the 3.8 supercharged engine from a GTP in his. More boost and nitrous and he ran 11's.

OK let's get it straight...
The 1996 Chevrolet Lumina LS (in the states) was available with a 3.4L DOHC V6 producing 215bhp, redline is 7000rpm. '96 had a larger TB and a new intake manifold with different runners. The induction noise produced is wonderful by the way. In '97 they switched to the 3.8L pushrod motor.
