So is the only difference between Planet Earth and (old) Living Planet just who is narrating it? Are they the same documentaries, just redubbed? Or are they completely new ones? I downloaded a bunch of the old Living Planets with the british guy and some of them are harder to find than others, so I'm wondering if I'll miss anything just watching the rest in Planet Earth. The order of the episodes appear to be different as well.

I'm not sure what Living Planet is, but I can explain the Planet Earth documentary.
It was originally a BBC project, with Sir David Attenbrough narrating it. This is the version I have, and it's how it should be. The Discovery Channel adaptation is pretty much the same, except with Sigourney Weaver narrating. Popular opinion is that she's not as good as Attenbrough.

I love this series i have it on Blu -ray and it really shows off the set up i have at home. Whenever people come over i toss that on and it absolutely stuns them.
