brokage fee?

i've been reading some of the posts about ppl getting raped by Brokage fee..
wat exactly is it? and wat does it apply to?
i recently wont an ebay item and i found out that it will be shipped to me via UPS ground from Toronto..

Only applies to stuff shipped from the US.

no worries there... only applies to things being shipped from out of country... basically a brokerage fee is a fee that a "broker" charges for dealing with customs for you
