rant: worst day ever!

so todays my birthday, it was all going good i bought my 240sx and insured it, then as im drive at 930pm im following my buddy this cop pulls me over saying i was speeding going 80kmh when i was going 65kmh (he was behind me going 65) says i was tailing the car infront of me (which was my buddy) and i was atleast a meter or 2 behind him, he gave me a 402$ ticket and i think 4-6 points off my licence, he also kicked my car on his way back to the van, should i go and fight this?

I've always wondered if some cops are nice enough to let you off with a warning on your birthday. Guess it all depends on the cop.

I'd fight it, does he have proof that you were going 80?
at least fight it so you have less demerits taken off

thanks guys, but he has no proof what so ever on any of the things he said i was doing, he dented the car pretty good too , he was sooo damn rude hes like get that shit can off the back end( my exhaust)... but i guess ill try and fight it i can pay the 400$ but the points are what i care about

Fuck dude that blows, i got fuckin pulled over on Super Bowl Sunday for a Seat belt ticket, fuckers already had someone handcuffed in the back of their van, now i got a $115 ticket, and i found out that shit comes with demerits too, fuckin better not raise my insurance

But you should definetly fight it, even call in and make a complaint about the officer, his name should be on your ticket

know what man i can say i hope it happens to u but im not like that, if you only knew what happend i had my little brother inthe car with me why in the hell would i speed? think about it with a 240? RWD and wet road think man please, also i tried talkin to the cop about it and i told him that was my buddy i would call him to come back and blah blah he started yelling then he walks off kicks the car and said that stuff about my exhaust, its just upsettin becuase i just got the car today body has no dents nothing super clean, its my birthday and he was still an ass.. but i would really like to report this cop

I disagree with kicking your car on the way back, but quite honestly, ask him for proof you were speeding, they are required to give you some kind of proof.

back on topic, the ticket was probably cuz u looked like a tool in a 240sx tailgating someone while making a shitload of noise with your exhaust. you deserved it. also who the hell follows ANY car within a meter or two, thats not near enough clearance to allow for any kind of emergency braking, thats way too close even if its ur "buddy" that u were following...and saying u deserved to get off lightly because it was your birthday is a BS excuse...
