Hire a laywer for $500 to help you reduce the fine or go to court on the date specified and politely ask the judge to dismiss the ticket because it wasn't you.
Well it just sucks, 2 in one month at the same place, just down the street from where I live.
how much is the ticket.?
So what have we learned?Originally posted by denbert

they are easy to fight, plead guilty to a lesser degree. They always get people complaining about photo radar, and almost always reduce it to the minimum charge of $57.
I've fought 4-5 of them and have had them reduced each time without any hassle - other than waiting an hour or two in the waiting room.
Thanks
I'll probably take it to get reduced, I also wrote to the CPS, my alderman and the mayor. I can't be complacent about it, so I voice'd my displeasure through the 'democratic' process.
Hope you don't live near me.Originally posted by denbert

I guess I now have to write all involved as well praising them for their efforts. I have kids and don't want anyone speeding "just down the street" from where I live.
Slow your ass down!

I asked them which locations, why they choose those locations, if they have historical statistics before after implementation of photo radar. If they have the # of tickets they issue per photo radar location, how many historical collisions at those sites.Originally posted by Rav4Guy

I think these are all fair questions to ask about the program. Besides if I don't voice my opinion how is anything going to change.
What needs to be changed?

This is kinda funny.....they are gonna reply exactly how the above posters did! I've been hit lots with photo, even at work (and yes, if I get one I have to pay it, even in the ambulance).....I call it a road tax....
