Props: To the Arthouse for a tattoo
I want to publicly acknowledge 'The Arthouse' in Kensington for taking a shitty situation and rectifying it. Hope this helps other Beyonders know what sort of an establishment they are.
Background: I went in the second last week of Jan for a cover up (cross on my arm, and no longer believe in god) and wanted to see if it was possible. Chose this guy and asked him to look at it.
Two weeks go by and I haven't heard anything, so I go into the store again and I see him. He admits that he hasn't had the chance to look at it, but says he has a few minutes right now. We look at it, shows me what he thinks would need to be changed, and says that he will have a mock up done in a coupe days.
I go back on Thursday and ask to speak with him. I have gone in on his day off, so I ask if he has left any work for me. The girl at the front desk tells me that she will ask him on Friday and call me.
Friday she calls me and says that he cant do my piece for me, and says thanks.
Today: I go in today and speak to the owner, tell her the above story and then she responds that if I wish she has no problem giving me my deposit back. I say that I do want to get some work done, but don't feel comfortable with the original guy. She finds someone I feel good with and then shuffles me into a spot so I don't have to wait the typical 5 weeks that they are booking.
Long story short, they almost lost my business and now they will be getting more work from me in the future.
