I have a hard time believing he pulled you over because of 1km. You sure you where not going any faster? Maybe a missprint on the ticket?

the judge would tell you, and I quote from previous experiance. Weather your 1 km over or 100, your still speeding. I also have a hardtime believing he pulled you over for going 1 km.

Was the ticket for 1 over or for reckless driving/unsafe lane change? Maybe he gave you the ticket for 1 over to save your ass on the 6 Demerit $400 because you ripped past the semi?

Agree with all above replies. There's no way he pulled you over for going 1 kph over the limit. There are missing elements in this story for sure.

Maybe it says 57km/h but the 7 looks like a 1.

Due to the radar devices, police have to allow a certain % of error before pulling you over, 1km/hr over the posted speed limit is just ridiculous. If this is true I would go fight it in court... that's just absurd.

What was the fine anyway?

How fast did you accelerate past the semi-truck? I've been pulled over for accelerating too fast, but not given a ticket, just a warning.

Yeah thats crazy. Pretty much every time I drive I go 9 over the speed limit. I've even gone through radar doing that. And I haven't gotten a ticket in over 2 years.

Maybe u were going 61 km/h or 11 over but the cop wrote it down wrong.

haha how whould they measure accelerating too fast? and what is the maximum rate alowed?

these and many other questions would be asked by me if i got pulled over for this

sorry should of posted. i was passing the semi truck going 58 he pulled me over and said i was speeding. i explained my story, i guess he felt sorry for me and said i will let you of with a warning, and gave me a 51 km/h speeding ticket.

Well if you go to court and fight it and say it was 51 on the ticket, he will then say "he was originally going 58 and I marked the ticket down" and you'll have to pay.
