I have a question about a diamond.

Can a diamond crack? And if so, under what sort of circumstances?

It is possiable, however extreamly rare. They are more likely to chip more then anything if either were to happen.

For it to crack it would have to have taken some serious abuse or be tampered with.

Keep in mind that sometimes a feather in the stone can give the illusion that it is cracked when its not.
