Huh, was looking at that yesterday actually. Not bad for an ap2..
dv/dt
pretty cheap for an ap2 depending on the hail damage and mileage. almost too cheap unless the hail damage is a larger factor, or if it's a rebuilt title or some jazz
Does anyone have a set of AP2 wheels they'd like to sell me?
Has anyone purchased a robins top locally? Any ideas on the cost/cost of install, or difficulty of install?

Bump for relevance. Degreeves did the install. Robbins cloth, had mine done in 2015

Sucks the exchange rate sucks right now but still considerably cheaper. I went canvas opposed to vinyl btw.
I would avoid DeGreeves. I had a terrible experience with them when they installed my OEM soft top.Originally posted by 2Legit2Quit

Poor workmanship, lack of attention, and lack of care.
They scratched the paint in multiple areas. The interior panels were not put back correctly (panels were scratched and a few cracked).
They initially said they've replaced soft tops on S2000s before and its an easy job. Yet when I pointed out the damage they caused after installation, they flipped their word and said the S2000 is one of the hardest cars to work on. They also blamed their incompetence on Honda's choice of plastic for the interior.
Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with them, they did a great job with mine and no issues.
In the market for an s2k either ap1/ap2. Willing to pay a reasonable price for it.
How much would you pay for an s2k in todays day and age?
I have found 3 on kijiji ranging from $26,000-$32,000 with 73,000-110,000 km which is far above what I would pay for an s2k.
^ bit hard to answer without being able to judge on the cars condition/mileage/mods/etc.
AP1's should be sitting under 20k imo, again depends on other attributing factors. AP2's generally run mid 20's and up depending on mileage.
Give it another month, more will start to appear for sale to meet the start of spring/summer rush.
Yeah I've been looking around for a few months now. The lowest one I've seen was $15k but it was a rebuilt.Originally posted by 2Legit2Quit

Here are the only s2k's that I see on sale currently:

I really like the one in silver but then again I can't really justify paying around $26k.
The prices on S2000s have been creeping up, but there are deals to be had if you check kijiji frequently.
I saw an AP2 (2004) with 50k km listed a week ago for 20k. The posting disappeared after a day.
MurrayPeterson was selling his AP1 with ~200k KM for 12k which came with many sets of wheels and a trailer. That vehicle sold pretty quick as well.

Yeesh that sc'd ap1 is over priced like whoa haha. Silver AP2 looks nice and decently priced, sounds like it's been owned by an older gent, new soft top too.
Price of s2000 aren't what they use to be. Seems like almost everyone wants over $20,000 no matter what. I paid under $20,000 for mine over 6 years ago and it seems like they're worth more now then they were then. That being said I wouldn't pay over mid 20s for an early AP2 now. This might also be the reason I no longer own one.
So ~$850 CAD for a Robbins cloth top in black, and $935 for the install, for an all-in price of ~$1800 CAD?Originally posted by 2Legit2Quit

I don't think you will see another S2000 as cheap as mine for a long time. I priced it low intentionally, since I wanted it to sell quickly. The buyer got a pretty good deal. And would you believe I still got some lowball offers that were laughable.Originally posted by EF9 Sedan

The best part of life isn't around the corner. It IS the corner.
I bought my S2000 for $12000 with 131k on it back in the summer of 2015. I don't think I'll see a deal like that again either.
Yep yep. Not sure what any other installers would be looking for but could call around for a quote. Can't recall if I could find anyone local to source the top itself outside of just buying it onlineOriginally posted by LilDrunkenSmurf

Let us know what their price is, I'm sure others would like to know for general knowledge.
