But for something as trivial as speeding, why wouldn't you try and get out of it if you could? If you have the option of paying $200, or not paying $200, I'd choose to not. Regardless of how much 'real money' you make, it would be foolish to pay it.

5.0, I hope you fight it and win. Good luck.

exactly, the city loves dumb people like that. ya some people are really stupid, "oh look i got a ticket, eh, i will pay this thing eh, i will have to go out next weekend instead and drink my labatt beer with my buddies then eh but thats ok because i'm a man eh, strength and honor yo. even if the fine was to chop my balls of i would do it, because i broke the law, and i'm a just a 'common slave' in this society"

    AHAHAHAH

anyway, excuse my lame description of the average canadian...

its not about money, its about the points. not getting any means you can drive uber fast longer. unless you have lots and lots and lots of money, you probably can't buy more points

I would like to preface my post by stating that I am usually very cautious of being respectful of other members.

Having said that, you seem to grow a little stupider with every post.

you didnt let me finish editing my post and i'm probably smarter then you think, and can drive better then you, but what does that matter? nothing, because you're a man and you rather pay for your tickets if given a choice of not having to.

I'll be visiting Rocky Mountain Plaza for the fourth time in April. It has never taken more than 2 hours to get out.

Go first thing in the morning and bring something to read.

why the hell would you pay more money than you have to for anything? if there is a sale at a store should I pay full price just to be generous to the owner and be a "man"? I dont know about you guys but I've never seen someone as manly because they take it from the cops.

only something a manly angel would understand, because this person being that manly angel never speeds, and proclaims how bad it is, but once they get caught (because they speed too), they pay the fine right away because of their manliness and continue criticizing others about how stupid they are for speeding. confusing enough?

its hilarious how everyone trys to be the model e-citizens around here...

if the dumbass cop couldnt do his part by filling out the ticket properly, i'd consider it my lucky day... but to "man-up" an pay for a ticket you just lucked out of(officer error) is just plain ridiculous, imho.

Have no problems manning up and being honorable if the ticket for the infractions was still $57. At $287/ticket, it just pisses me off. lol

Glad to see that theory is such a common one.

Welcome to the 21st century. Integrity of character is just seen as foolish weakness now. Kill or be killed, my friend. :argh:

Is it true that U-turn's are illegal in Calgary/AB? In Winnipeg, there's No U-Turn signs, but I'm noticing that I haven't seen any No U-Turn signs in Calgary. Sorry for the thread jack...

    OK, I looked it up

    http://www.gov.calgary.ab.ca/police/...ffic/know.html
    "U" turns

In urban ares, including Calgary, "U" turns aren't permitted on a roadway between intersections, where signage prohibits making a "U" turn, at traffic signals or at an alley intersection. The penalty for making an illegal "U" turn is $115.
