Default houston, we have a problem : mazda's in doodoo

turns out there was some stuff wrong with their vehicles. . .nothing that big, but they still have to recall about 180,000

tough break for a company with such a "quality" image to it, especially with it's new line-up of cars

i blame it on the percentage ownership that ford has of mazda lol turd
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”

Mazda purposely compromised most creature comforts to make a car to compete with the Porshes and Ferrari roadsters of the day.

You'd be surprised how easy "should be good enough" goes to "not even close" when it comes to wiring. Hopefully mazda won't have any trouble putting enough repair kits out to fix all the effected vehicles. The 6 is such a great little machine too.

    lol

But in reality the most reliable cars are like civics and corrola's because they are built by the millions in largely automated factories and the manufacturer has the feedback from the 10's of millions on the road and the volume to amortize design costs.

when you buy an example of a cars built by hand it is no longer (cheap reliable)transportation it is mechanical art.

The stiching in the leather is wavey because the nice little old lady who builds your custom fitted drivers seat is a liitle stiff when it rains... you get individuality not perfection

Subaru has had several recalls for various things, as have honda or toyota. They aren't usually serious enough that its something you hear about in the news, you just get a letter from your dealer stating your car is eligible and to book an appointment. Just because you don't hear about it doesn't mean they don't happen. As was said before, EVERY company has recalls at one point or another, just some are more serious than others.

yea honda recently recalled the 00-03 accords cuz of tranmission problems that it would damage itself(i dunno the details) my bro got an offer, either to have the car replaced, or get an extra 5 year warranty/20,000 mile
