    Default 18s or 19s?

    Pros/Cons?!

I'm so set on getting 19s but I do drive from Calgary to Edmonton alot cuz of school and if I decide on getting deep dish wheels 19s are pretty much a must then cuz 18s would look so tiny!

Who here is rocking the 19s or who has 18s and regrets not getting 19s?!

BTW its for my 02 Audi A4!

get 19s and swap your wheels beofre you drive down if you are that concerned...but the ride quality wont be much better with 18's

Just went to 18s on my Mustang. Loving every minute of it. Not stupid big, not small, but just right. I can't feel the added weight, and the tires hook like hell. Big difference in performance and its for the better. Oh and they look good too. 18s for me.

I have 18's on my mx3 and i love them but in your case i would go 19's just to boost your pimp status

Sex should be like a Civic; slow, obscene, and loud enough for the neighbors to hear.

I have had 18's on two A4's and now my S4.. and wouldnt go 19. (But have friends with them..)
I guess what else it comes down to is the width of the wheel and your suspension.... if you are quite low, or wheels are 8.5 or wider, I wouldnt reccomend it... but its always a personal preference.

I went with 18's for my car sometime last year, had 19's on my mind, but just didn't want to lose the drive quality.

im on vogtlands (Well soon... on order) and im not gonna dump it... no lower than 25" and the rims are 8.5 wide...

    hmm....

i just dont wanna get 18s and regret it but at the same time i dont wanna exponentially increase my chnaces of bending my rim (esp. in edmonton)

    this sucks!

With 8.5's you will have to be a little more careful.. but if the roads in Deadmonton are crap, I would definitely go 18's...

Where did you get the Vogt's from??

Tomasz @ startup racing (it was a GB for 1050 w/ free shipping! ) pretty sure ill be happy with these! ppl on AW rave about them!

why is the wider the rim the more damage can occur? im such a noob on rims and rubber and such... i have a few more weeks left to decide as the rims im looking at are either back ordered or still under production

maybe i should just stop the nonsense and spend the real scrill on some LMs

Im rocking the 19's on my bimmer, they don't seem to affect the ride quality for me...the only thing i notice is it's harder to launch.

If there's one Neon in the world that can rock 20's, it's his.

^I'd say werd to that. That is hands down the hottest Neon I've ever seen.

oh and about the TOPIC of the thread, like I said before, when I had 19's on the Jetta I specifically took them off when I was doing summer course in Edmonton because the roads there are shit IMO.

If you are going to be doing a decent amount of driving around Edmonton I'd stick with 18's even though 19's would be way pimper. The chances of bending the shit out of them are just way too high.

Some of the potholes in that city were just insane. Not just potholes but tramlining would definately be an issue given the huge dips/grooves in the road.

19's in Calgary were no problem except during construction time when exposed manholes and dips in the road were scary, especially if there were no signs.

Oh and about the 18" wheel comment, yes...people do still rock 18's.

gotta go 19 bro, save em spend the extra cahs and then you wont have to worry about how much better they would have looked. I wouldn't think that aftermarket rims are great for continuous highway driving vs stock but you could swap em on the regular.
