WHC: Mcleod Trail and 42ave

so i won a "free" membership there and went and checked out the gym and got a tour today. the place seems pretty decent but i'm wondering how you guys that go there like the gym and atmosphere? (i'm closer to the andreson/mcleod location, but this one is 24hour)

it would cost me $60 to start up for a year and $50/month for the rest of the year..which is saving quite a bit of money upfront.

what do you guys think?
i'd probably work out 2-4 times a week!

It was alright when I was there. Is it 24/7 now? When I was going it was only 24 hours mon-fri. then 8-8 sat/sun.

If you're going to start there, BARGAIN THEM DOWN. They will go lower, especially if you don't plan on using any other of the WHC's in calgary, if they say they can't, just tell them "alright I guess I'm going to Gold's"

i used to sell memberships there...45/m is lowest they can do and 50 total start up is lower than normal FYI...and the blonde? Haha ya I remember her...

I've been there a few times. The facilities seemed all right, but the salespeople were way too high pressure. I got a membership at the Y instead.

the free membership (2 weeks) is to get prospective members in the door and for them to try out the gym for 2 weeks, once they come in, most of them love it so much they just sign up without using the pass much this guy

ahah, i always thought it was a free year membership they won.
im a member there, i always get those 2 week free memberships to give to my friends.

I also go to the Y and believe you get a lot better value for your money there.. not to mention you can use the membership anywhere in North America
