Default Work Emotion XT7's - Need Opinions

Hey guys, I just got these from Tunerworks.. waited about 100+ days for em, and I love em.
    They are 17x7, +42 with Kumho Ecsta SPT's 215/45/17

I mounted them today and I think they are great... However I have some regrets about not going with 17x8 or getting white. So depending on how it goes down the road, I might sell these and buy some Advans RCII's or TCII's or get a set of DC5 Type R wheels with some spacers.

Either way, I'd like to know what all of you think!

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention.. I'm going to be getting the HFP coilover suspension sometime next month.
    So it will be lowered!

    Thanks!

    Nice!

Call me crazy but that looks good at the ride height you have now. I think slamming the car makes it look tacky and you have a clean ride!

They look pretty good right now. Don't get white.

How much did they cost you?

well, the front looks okay, but the rear gap is insanely huge.
Like I said previously, I won't be slamming it.. the HFP suspension drops it .8" - 1"
    so it looks perfect
    thanks for the compliment!

I'm a member on the 8th gen civic board and one member got his hands on the DC5 Type R wheels in white and they look amazing. Thats why I have the regret.

they ran me $1640, give or take a few dollars.

Andrew at tunerworks is great to deal with, very helpful and with the long wait, it's hard to be patient, he was cool with it.
He got me a crazy good deal on the kumho's as well!
thanks to andrew! they know their stuff

I love your choice of wheels...but i hate to be a hater

with the xt7 they have to have a concave or they look cheap. seriously, they are a wheel ment to be wide with low offsets with some sexy concave, and for rwd cars

    for example 18x9.5 +12 offset

just like the emotion kai cr's they need that concave look

personally i would have gone with the xd9's. i have seen them with fwd offsets and sizes and they looks great. but to each there own, i just don't like how they look like advan model t7's and the million knock off's of them

love the bronze on black though

The wheels looks great on the car, after dropping your car just a bit would probably make it look much better. The concave look is nice especially on the Emotions CR Kai but imo the side skirts & rear bumper of that 240sx doesn't do justice for the rims. Back looks kinda weird to me..

    mmm..

I know what you guys mean
my car can't handle the wide wheel with the aggressive offset
Andrew (tunerworks) and I were talking about that, but the wheels look so good I had to get em either way. He got the XT7's in metal coat in 18x8.5 with the same offset and they look bad ass.

I'm not a fan of the XD9's on FWD cars, there are members on my board that have both the CR kais and XD9's but neither of them appeal to me.. To me its a RWD wheel, but personal taste again.

But I appreciate the honesty guys.. and to think
I was gonna go with Tenzo GT5's hahaha

Just saw your car on Country Hills Blvd. today. The car looks good, but like you said it needs wider wheels on it and more of a drop. The color is perfect. Don't do white, you'll regret it once you have to clean them everyday.

but yeah, I regret not going to 8.5.. but I guess I learned for next time
The drop is coming, the wheels and tires drained me empty haha

For my next set, I wouldn't wanna go bronze again unless its absolutely amazing

not sure if you guys can see this but.. take a look

The rims you have now look awesome. White rims on a black car is a little too much...
