    Default Lowering your car

Alright I got Ground Control Coils on my probe. Set as low as they can go, well quite frankly I want it lower specially in the back. Is there anyway to do this besides just cutting a couple of coils off the spring ? I want the rims tucked into the wheel well because the design of my car makes the back end look SUPER high off the ground. thanks for any help

But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. Do Not cut the springs. What kinda strut/shock setup do you have. On my car I cut my strut hats that stock springs sit on and I got an additional 0.5" of adjustment lower. BTW my GC's lower 2.5 max. I am not sure about other applications but I doubt they would lower 4" for any car.

If you want it lower after your coils are totally down, which should be 2.25', your asking for problems. Do not cut the spring, as it weakens the rest of the spring as a whole and they are short enough as it is. If your on stock shocks, you risk blowing them in a short period of time. I think your about as low as you could possibly want to go my friend. If you could find shocks that have a height adjustment, then you may be able to go a tad lower. Im not sure what the application or brand is made for your car however.

A drug person can learn to handle such things as seeing their dead grandmother crawling up their leg with a knife in her teeth. But no one should be asked to deal with this trip.

if they make them for your car, you can get koni yellows, as they have adjustable perch settings that allow you to lower/raise your car further using just the shock perch settings. don't know if it is advisable, and yellows are $$

What is the suspension setup like? You mention ground control coilovers, are these the type with the threaded collar that goes over the shock/strut? If this is the case, they should be able to break the weld to the collar loose and lower it then weld it back into place.

Now im really not that knowledgeable on fords, but in my fiero the front suspension has spindles as i would think your probe would in the back, so maybe there is a company that sells lowering spindles, you could probably use it with your coil overs still and stilll maintain the same ride quality rather then going gungho on the frame or anything i think this is less radical, and if im teribilly wrong about your car don't flame me cause im only trying to be helpful
