Is there a store in Calgary that carries the G-Shock MTG line?

I've done some research and it seems that the G-Shock line are some of the toughest watches out there but they're too casual for me. The MTG line has the more formal look I'm after but with all the protection of a G-shock, plus a sapphire crystal.

I've been looking for one in Calgary but can't find one. There are lots of G-shock dealers but none of them have the MTG models. Anyone know if there is a local dealer?

I think a G Shock dealer can source a model for you. If not, eBay.

I checked with a few local dealers and they said they won't bother bringing it in. Having said that, the ones I spoke to were Spare Parts and Watch It! so take that for what it's worth.

I already looked on Ebay but would like to actually try one on and check it out in person before I dump a grand on it. I would also rather have a local dealer supply it for servicing and any warranty issues that may arise.

No doubt it's steep for a Casio but there's not a lot of watches out there that are durable but can also be worn with a suit. Trust me, I've been looking.

Here is another picture of the Super. Love this watch. It is bit heavy though. I never wore it during the day as it can get uncomfortable, just wore it going out at nights.

J Vair Anderson and Brinkhaus both carry Omega, also both will perform servicing and warranty work. Had 2 of mine serviced at each.

Not sure if anyone else has Omega. Rolex you can buy almost anywhere...

I didn't realize Omega was so exclusive and Rolex was available at all jewellry stores. When is Mappins having their next 40% off sale?

Has anyone got a fairly good deal at J Vair or CJ? I am in the market for an Omega but it amazes me how some dealers will move on prices and some wont budge an inch.

Go talk to Jeff at CJ's, and tell him I sent you. You'll automatically get the friends and family pricing.

I tried the MTG model at a Tourneau in Miami. I find the bezel too chunky for my style but I'd say its quite durable.

Though I wouldn't pay that much for a Casio IMO.

Anyone fan of Rolex here and can help me source one locally? I was able to source a used Kermit Submariner in Miami for $6900USD.

It doesn't feel like a good price for me esp with USD>CAD right now.

Just pointing out my my experiences, generally pretty difficult to find Omegas whenever I have been looking even around the world. Maybe 1 in 5 stores at most. However most high end watch dealers seem to have a few Rolex's even if they are just in the window.

My 0.02, no need to be so but hurt about it

Someone spend to much on a Rolex?

How used was it? In any case, you've got mail.

Used from a jeweler so not beat to shit. The exchange rate is too big so I'm going to wait for a local one to pop up (Canadian-based).

Omega and Rolex are commonplace in any major city. Its the AP, Patek, etc. that are the tricky ones.

Good call, buying from other enthusiasts is always nice as well since you might get a better price. Keep in mind that most are reaching that age where a service is due and not all of them have yet been serviced.
