So is the discount more than the usual ~25-30% that most places dole out?

It depends on the watch, I'm unable to give exact numbers unless I know exactly what you are looking at, but it could be.

how many watches you got to warrant a case like that rage? talk about an excuse to own 18 watches

im gonna go look if he has smaller ones!
There's another guy that has one that's 1/2 the size, wind 4 + 4 for storage I think, but will only ship UPS, which would've been more expensive after calculating brokerage fees. That's why I ended up with this one.

Now I have to fill the box to make it look good, although I dunno if I like enough Quartz watches to fill the bottom section.

I think you'll be ok putting autos in the bottom section. They don't need to be kept on a winder all the time.

I also spoke with Tourneau in Houston. The watch had come in on trade last week. They had not yet put in on display. They also have confirmed that the serial # is legit and does not correspond to a "known replica" however they have agreed to take the watch back and refund the purchase price, or they will bring the watch in for comfirmation of authenticity.
did you get your refund? I picked up the real Chopard PR.

Nothing from Tourneau yet. I assume that since I haven't heard anything its bad news. Family is coming back to calgary next week and was hoping to get the watch back then but not looking good.

haha bastard, was gonna wait till I had it in my hands before I posted about it.

Ten times faster than any other mechanical wristwatch movement...

The Calibre 360 is like a living organism endowed with two hearts - 2 sets of escapement mechanisms. Under normal conditions it cruises at the regular speed of 28,800 oscillations/hour, but in chronograph mode it accelerates to 360,000 oscillations/hour. To achieve this incredible precision requires over 230 components, a drastically lightened and miniaturized hairspring and escapement mechanism. Its development has produced no fewer than 3 exclusive worldwide patents:

    - 1/100th of a second counter in a mechanical wrist chronograph

    - Bi-directional crown and rewind system. The single crown controls both movements, as well as the hour and date setting : turned clockwise, it rewinds the manual chronograph; turned counter-clockwise, it rewinds the automatic watch.

    - Transmission of the date from the bottom of the movement to the upper dial.
    Some vids of the movement:

TAG made 10 of these in PVD Black, 100 in White Gold (what I scored, #89/100), 360 in SS, and 500 in rose gold.

Thanks... I'm quite excited to see it in person. The thing hums when you start the chrono because of the 360,000vph. My uncle closed the deal for me and will be bringing it over when he visits, hopefully soon!

I've been on the hunt for the black PVD version, but at only 10 pieces, it's impossible to find and even more $. I found one that sold in 2008 for over $20k.

Here's a pic of the 4 limited edition models.

From left to right, Rose Gold, Stainless Steel, White Gold, PVD Black.

Damn I wish I could find that black one! haha
