The shitty thing about this is that now every crazy, toothless, hick that thinks he saw a UFO after he passed out in a cornfield is going to feel justified in running his mouth about how he "done knew it all along".

Please, Jethro, if you're reading this (or having your cousin read it to you), don't let this go to your head. There may be life on another planet, but you didn't see it. You're a crazy redneck drunk and I assure you that highly intelligent life didn't travel many lightyears just to inspect the contents of your colon.

Actually wrong again. You do age in space, however the faster you travel, the slower time moves for you. Consequently, if you traveled fast enough (speed of light) it would appear as though time is standing still for you although you would actually be aging, albeit at a slower pace.

^^^ lol i doubt we will ever hit light speed. and yes if you hit light speed it would seem like you dont age but you sure do. theory states that if you surpass light speed you actually start to grow younger. and reverse the aging process

Ok so hypothetically speaking - if you were to travel at the speed of light, how long would it seem to take? Would it seem like two weeks, or would it still seem like 200 years but you would look the same age?

It's got the same climate as Earth, plus water and gravity.
Well no fucking shit it has gravity. EVERYTHING does!

In theory Ion propulsion can reach "warp1" or close to it in 4.6 years or something like that. Or so i've heard.

a light year is how far light travels in one year, its 20 light years away so it would take you 20 years

wow some of u guys are just dumb

light travels at 299,792,458 m/s per second..

in one minute light will travel 17,987,547,480m (299,792,458m/s x 60)
in one hour light will travel 1,079,252,848,800m (17,987,547,480m x 60)
in one day light will travel 25,902,068,371,200m
and in one year light will travel 9,454,254,955,488,000m
and in 20 years light will travel 189,085,099,109,760,000m

do u honestly think we can travel that far or fast in one year? if u ever took physics u would know that light has no mass and anything that approaches the speed of light becomes infinitely massive
