Thumbs down unhappy with latest vehicle choice....

I gotta say... I am very dissappointed in myself for making such a shitty decision.

    a little background..
The company I work for has very good benefits packages for its managers. One that tops the list is an all expense paid personal vehicle lease up to $740/month. They pay for fuel, oil changes, insurance, car washes.... everything. So, all I have to do is pick a vehicle that falls in that lease range. My wife has wanted us to have a truck for quite some time so I thought I would try one out. Not being a real "truck guy, I wasn't sure what to pick. A friend of mine works for a GMC delaership nearby, so I thought that would be the easiest.

so, march 3rd i took delivery of a Next Generation 2007 Chev Silverado LT Crew Cab.

    What a pile of shit.

I now have 4600km on it and this is whats wrong so far
-suspension moans and creaks in every corner
    -14 mpg highway with a 5.3l MDS V8
-interior trim rattles when its less that +15C
-back seats rattle like they are loose
    - overall fit and finish is poor to say the least

So, i guess this one is just going to be choked up to "lesson learned"

My wife and I have agreed that we will never own another vehicle that wasn't made in either Germany or Japan.

I guess for the next 34 months, I am stuck driving what I like to call
    " The Pile Of Shit"

I cant believe with trucks like the new Tundra and Titan out, you bought a Silverado.

If the worst of your problems are creaks and moans for the duration of your lease, you should be very happy.

Isnt there any way out of the lease without getting raped?

I used to work at a chev dealer, and now ive been working for Toyota for a while...

To be honest, the Tundra is a wicked truck. havent heard a complaint yet........exept the price.

Working at chev I did see some of the mistakes they made BUT,
The chev truck is so much cheaper. And I mean SO much. In all honesty, you got what you paid for when it comes to fit/finish.

    but aaaaaaaaaaaanyways TUNDRA FTW!

Tundras are the ugliest things on the road. Typical Toyota styling.

Welcome to the joys of owning an american vehicle. My neighbor just picked up a 2007 truck exactly like your as well and he's had nothing but problems with it, along with his yukon and suburban. I noticed you have an E39 BMW as well, so the shortcomings of the chev will probably be amplified. As others have already mentioned, I would also look at a Tundra. Just my opinion, anyways.
