Sorry, why the shit is the Rover in that category? What does it have in common with ANY of those cars?
PS I picked the 911 because it is the most practical car that will still rip your face off as Jeremy Clarkson likes to put it.

the Porshe and Ferrari are both great cars. I think at this point it comes down to preference. I've always had a soft sport for Ferrari over Porshe.

There's no "handling bonuses" with the AWD system. If there was, the GT2 wouldn't have deleted AWD (it's only a 50lb hit).Originally posted by Mitsu3000gt
- All wheel drive (for calgary's unpredictable weather + handling bonuses)
I don't like Porsche's AWD system, it makes the car boring as hell.

Porche claims it improves handling, but you make a good point that their track cars are RWD. Maybe they are just trying to sell more carrera 4'sOriginally posted by rage2

Range or Benz i wouldnt mind either
You're worried about Viper reliability, but you'd take a Rover? Worst cars on the road. Consistently.Originally posted by LuxCars
This is how i split it up.
dodge viper: American, dont wanna deal with the hassle even if it does have that kind of power
lotus: Small, looks uglier everytime i see one, guys who drive it drive it to show off, even though they are cheaper exotics.
range rover: Great car, it would be my second choice, but it may kill you on gas and s.u.v's arent as nice to look at as sportier cars.
ferrari: You'll probably only drive this in the summer, and it is used so it may need some TLC (but i doubt it). Expensive car, therefore probably expensive to maintain.
My choice went to the benz because it looks great, great dependability of mercedes. Sleek car and will attract a lot of attention. Still drivable in winter, classy, probably not as bad on gas as the others (excluding the lotus).
woo hoo! thats 3 for the unofficial poll! hahaOriginally posted by gpomp

right away when you said that you want to start importing i thatght z06. for the calgary market the zo6, or any other vette would be ideal to profit from and simplest to sell (from a sellers point of view )
but which i would like best? i would choose the porsche

I'd go with the SLK, Porsche, or Ferrari.
As for the Lotus, I've seen just as many since yesterday as I have seen F-cars.
The SLK I chose because it has the convertable hard top, a nice interior, a lot of power, and it's still a small car, easy to park, and I wouldn't feel bad driving it in the winter.
The porsche 993 and 997 are my favorites, hated the 996 headlights, now that they have the round headlights back I love the looks again. You don't have to pay a rediculous amount of money for great performance.
The Ferrari is stupid expensive, huge performance, amazing looks with a price to match. If you want a car to cruise around in just during the summer months, this is the car.
If the car is for year round driving, I'd go with the AMG Benz, summer only I would go with the Ferrari if I found a good deal, otherwise it would be a toss up between the Benz and the Porsche, depending on what model the porsche is. I would take a turbo, gt2 or gt3 over the slk55, nothing else.
I've seen more Lotus's than 911 TTOriginally posted by mshaw

911 Turbo because it is the only Porsche I like besides the GT2/GT3 and Carrera GT. And damn do I ever like it, variable turbo and LED foglights are the shittt! I would put the M5 with the Turbo but it is not on the list. I would take the C6 Z06 above all
Dude LED fog lights are one of the highlights for you....?

International Car Show anyone?
I woud have chosen the 911 but there are too many in Calgary. If I'm spending that kind of money I would rather have something more exclusive. I'll take a Ferrari.
