    Default B O V install

Just got my Apex Dual Chamber sitting around. Was wondering if it is worth the hassel to install it on my stock engine if I am swapping out later this summer. I have rubber pipping for all my intercooler and intake pipping.
Would this be easy/hard to do ?
Would it be worth the trouble to hear that sweet sweet sound for 2 months just to swap it over ?

    Thanks in advance... thanks

well i dunno about ur engine, but it was a hassel for me, wasnt hard though...well 2 months is 2 months its still a long way....almost the whole summer?? might as well...it keeps u awake for a bit i say go for it...it might take u a couple of hours...im not sure with ur car if u have to change the piping or juss replace ur stock bov...i know in the new supra's (94) we juss had to take off the stock bov...
well i say put ur bov in...juss see whut it'll sound like....might not be the sound ur looking for...

Pardon my newbie question... I know that a bov is a blow off value, but what exactly does it do besides give you that cool sound?

a bov relieves pressure from ur turbo to prevent it from goin back in the turbo which if this happens u will get turbo lag, and also might damage the fins in ur turbo

u might have to replace that one piece of piping where ur stock bov sits...cuzz in my talon i need to make another pipe and weld the flange on it so the aftermarket bov can fit..but like i said...im not sure about ur car...juss a lil heads up

k when u release the gas...if u dont have a bov it will make the pressure go back back to the turbo which will cause the turbo to not spool properly bcuzz the exhaust is making it spool one way while theres pressure goin to opposite way?? make sense?? i dunno how to explain it

A BOV is necessary in order prevent the boost surge from getting back to the compressor of the turbo which could cause serious bearing wear and premature failure.

u cant install it on your engine, the computer reads that air that is in the piping, it gets reruited, if u look where your stock bypass valve is, it goes back into the system. u have to wait.

That doesnt matter. When the bov releases the air to the atmosphere the car will run rich for a second.
