Question Importing Salvage Title Car Into Canada

Does anybody know what the policy is on Importing a car into Canada from the United States that has a salvage/Rebuilt title?

I wonder if it is the same as any other car.. or if they are prohibited. I think the rule with it being out of province and a salvage is just that it must pass out of province.. I wouldn't want to buy something and then not be able to import it.

If anyone knows please let me know..

I think the rule is that if the car has a salvage title due to anything, it can't be imported but I'll let other verify this because last time I thought something was right I definitely got owned by like 18 different people.

The car needs to have a salvage inspection after being imported before registration

a salvage inspection? I have never heard of that Would it need a salvage inspection + Out of Province as well? .. even if it was already given a "Rebuilt" title?

    http://www.importexporthelp.com/car-exporting.htm

The site won't let me copy and paste so scroll down about 2/5 way down the page and look for where it says "documentation required"

I don't really get what it's saying though.

I guess it is implying that you CAN import a salvage title but it does not tell you what the conditions are...

Well, i remember that one poor fellow's c5 covette thread and Automaxx scamming him, and it seems that a salvage due to flood, may NEVER be allowed registration in Alberta.
