    Unhappy Anyone owns a LG 42inch LCD TV? It gives me Black Screen now...HELP

    Hi guys, we bought this ""Great"" TV on boxing day.

    Model: 42LC2D.

    Problem: It stops displaying picture, no matter what it gives me a black screen.

    Anyone had the same problem with the LCD TVs? What should I do?

    By the way, does anyone know what's the phone number of LG repair center in Calgary?

    Since the LCD monitors in my company are on 24/7 without a problem, I thought a $600 warranty will be a waste. I guess I'm wrong...

    HAve you reset the tv by disconnecting the power?

    LCD monitors and LCD tv's are two different animals, the only thing they have in common is the panel.

    Depending on where you bought it from, go back to them and ask for the warranty information through LG, it is 1 year on manufacture failure. if indeed one day the shit just stop working, then you are entitled to a new panel/tv through LG.

    Go and have a chat with your sales guy and see what he can do for you.

    LG has a very good warranty from what I have heard, so just ring them up. They have a repair place in Calgary

    Hi thanks guys! I've called LG and they gave me a Calgary number which is always busy...but I will try again again...I bought it from Futureshop and I called them, they told me to connect LG too.

    I will let you guys know if LG's warranty is "GOOD".

    Yes, I've disconnect power for a day and still doesn't work , it happened before and disconnecting power works, i guess it's really dead now.

    Is it direct lcd or lcd projection? if the second one, maybe your bulb has blown.

    It is direct LCD, I'd never know that LCD will die this fast...
