I know this is kind of a long read, but the longer this takes the more money I'm probably losing so any help would be greatly appriciated.
I do quite a bit of sports betting and fantasy sports on private internet sites that require daily checking/adjustments in order to win/collect payouts. With this rain storm a few days ago, my Shaw internet went out. When the internet came back up that night, I noticed I could surf any public page with ease, but as soon as I clicked the link to jump to my private sports page (run by CBSsports so its not small time) it would not load. First I thought the problem was with CBS but working with their tech support this whole morning it was proven it wasnt. Then I found out that a few of my friends doing the same betting with Telus were not having any problem at all, making it hard for me to blame CBS at this point.
I called Shaw, and after spending a hour with them, they say its nothing on their end, and either its CBS or my computer.
But what I dont get is I've now talked to a few people that do this. Everyone with Shaw cannot access it, and everyone with Telus can. I have never had a problem up to that rainstorm 2 days ago with these private pages so I have a hard time believing Shaw when they try to pass the blame.
Any ideas? If I cant find a way to access this tonight, I'm going to have to find a internet cafe that uses Telus internet for the time being as right now I dont even want to think about how much I've lost because of this.
