It only took a week and a day, but my bushing kit, tie rod ends and ball joints arrived today. Should have my rear tie rods and wheel bearings soon too!
Soon the car will finally be handling as it should!
Cheers,
Berg

By the way, does anyone know the best way to get all the old bushings out? I have bearings on the way, anyone have a press i could use to get the old ones out and the new ones in?
Cheers,
Berg
Lol, I knew that was comming.....
What about the wheel bearings? Can they be tapped out with a soft faced hammer or is this something that that really needs to be done with a press?
Yeah! Twosrus and kbox.ca are quickly becomming two of my favorite sites!
I've found some good documentation on replacing the bushings, but nothing on replacing the bearings. Anyone done this?
Ya just torch em, twosrus is fast, very organized as well. I wish more of the mr2oc vendors could follow their example.
Looking for a new VW? How about a used vehicle? We are Central Albertas #1 source for pre-owned vehicles
I will beat any deal on a new VW for beyonders

dont torch them, it takes a long time is messy and hazardous to your health. take them to u-wrench.ca borrow their press and it will take 15 minutes tops and cost maybe 15 dollars.
I assume that the same press could be used for the wheel bearings.... that would probably be ideal....
What were the shipping duties like? I'm wanting to order a MBC and two gauges from them pretty soonly..
i dont believe there was duties when i ordered my MBC (and i picked up from fed-ex) i know there wasnt when i ordered last although there wasnt much there
