Default My New Lift :D 56k warning... big truck, big images.

Hey guys just got my new lift put on the other day and i just picked my truck up tonight and here it is (got new rims too, just need more $$ for tires)

    -6" fabtech perfomance suspension lift
    -17" eagle alloys series 1372
-35" bfg all-terrain T/A soon to be 37" Toyo Open Country Mud Terrain
    -LOCKING WHEEL NUTS! lol

Heres my truck next to my gf's little dodge... to think, they used to be the same height.

My stock height car would likely get ran over in a head on collision.

    That's sick.

Tires are fine, imo. What will another 2 inches really do for you? They are already huuuuge!

Same here. I cringe every time I see a vehicle like this on public roads.

My buddies 05 - 2500 Silverado from a year or so ago was about $15,000. It was a 6 Inch lift, the best, including tires, labour and everything.

Most of the cost was the front end.

My KJ on the other hand, is $700 w/o Labour for a 2.5" (biggest). Sounds weak on paper, but for the vehicle is makes a big difference.

As for size on the road, I'd be more worried about a tractor-trailer. They are much taller, weigh about 100,000 pounds more and have the stopping distance of a freight train.

Makes a 10,000 pound dodge sound appealing.
Life is too short to drive boring cars.

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

PLEASE readjust your headlights or something, I can move my rear view mirror around but your light is still in my eye balls through my side view!

So, how much do the axles and the steering control arms move up when you do this?

Thanks Guys, Im going to reposition the headlights for drivers, but im also adding 5 8" soltek HID offroad lights onto a custom baha bar w/ skidplate on the front, but those wont be used for road use... much unless someone really pisses me off.

and for the record i dont have a mullet... Im rockin the faux hawk for the time being.

I did Add a Leaf in the rear, im upgrading to the procomp MX-6 Monotube shocks though, I hear they are prettty sweet, and im going to do a double shock system all the way around (total of 8 shocks)

Im in the midst of fabbing up a baja bar / skid plate that is on an actuator so i can adjust the angle of the lights on the fly, it look similar to something like this... it will just be a bit more advanced

also doing widened fiberglass front and rear fenders (basically a wide body kit for an offroad truck lol)

also I need a steering dampener as when i hit the calf rope bridge the other day I got the death wobble in my steering

www.desertracingconcepts.com is where im getting alot of shit from, they have some pretty bitchin products if i must say so myself, but unfortunately their race bar that they have, they havent gone into production with yet so thats why I decided to make my own

The tractor trailer has it's bumpers at the proper height, thus not ramping it right up onto the cabin of my vehicle.

I find with the newer trucks 6" lift doesn't make them look half as wild as the older generations with the same, it is high compared to the other but you see pics and they still don't look big..

like even 35" tires are BIG tires.. but on your truck they look "normal" haha

    killer looking truck though
