Default moral support @ the gym...

okay, its one thing to workout with your partner and like quietly say to them when spotting them "ok ok one more, push push" or what not.

but man the gym i work out @, theres these 2 guys. HOLY FUCK. can you SHUT THE FUCK UP!?

"ITS ALL YOU BABY, 1 MORE 1 MORE YAAAAAAAAAAAA"

"ALL CHEST ALL CHEST CMON PUSH PUSH PUSH" <INSERT GRUNTING SOUNDS THAT CAN BE HEARD HALF WAY ACROSS THE WORLD>

o and also lets just drop the weight as well, to tell everyone how much weight we're pushing.

seriously i dont think half the people at the gym care you guys are pushing 75lbs. doods dont even looked ripped, look like more fat to me than muscle anyways.
ya sure its "impressive" i really dont think it is, but man keep that shit to yourself.
    WE...DO...NOT...CARE!

to show that we dont care, if you listen around after you're done your set, you can hear people imitate you.

    /rant.

Who cares man. Thats how some people get into that shit... If you have a problem, just get an ipod or something. At least their working out. I c and hear that shit all the time. I dont think ppl do that just so everyone at the gym looks at the amount their pushing. 75lbs might not mean alot to you. But it may mean alot to someone else. If its truly bugs the hell outta you, or maybe you wanna prove something, go and do 75s right beside them.

doing 75lbs dont mean you're strong at all. It depends on if he can do good reps with them.

that is why i hate going to the gym, too many people and i hate it when people watch you work out.

there is a point where you have to be respectful to the people around you?

    ^^^^^^^ He's right.

There's a line. There's being proud of the work you've been doing but at the
same time there's being respectful to your fellow gym-goers. I personally don't
go with a training partner to "encourage" me but if I did I'd want that little
push to get past any mental barriers.

For example the other day I hit a milestone in my lifting, but needed a spot.
Asked some random dude, told him how many reps I wanted to do and let him
know it was my first time at this weight. He was cool. Got to about my 6th rep
and this random was saying "dude you got 2 more, easy, do it." That was cool.

BUT yelling about your personal accomplishments across the gym is far over
the line. Dropping the weights is a gym no-no anyways so give him shit for
    that if you want.
Guess who's back... tell some men.

well dropping weights is acceptable if its huge, i mean its tough to put them down softly. FOr example if you're benching 110 in each hand, its tough to get it down to the floor with just bicep, you would end up tearing it completely. As moans and groans and what not, it just makes me think that the guy is putting in a lot of effot

thats exactly what i said in my 1st post, thaaaaaaank you for agreeing with me!

im always work out by myself, always listening to music, but man these guys were just ridiculously loud.

it aint no milestone for these guys either, i've seen them push the exact same weight every other day for the last 2 wks.

man i hate this excuse for dropping weights, your strong enough to bring them up to position for your reps and do the reps but you just cant get them down without dropping them from like 3 feet up? Gimme a break.
