That is a biggest load of CRAP i have ever heard. I hope theyre going to apply it to muscle cars as well and not just imports, altho im sure they wont because muscle cars are "classics". I think they need to come and drive the streets of calgary and see that there are worse things than drivers that speed....80% of the morons on the road in calgary.

what if somebody just builds their car to look nice, but doesnt race it, or races it legally at a track? Can they still take it away?

I hope someone that has better knowledge of the law can saw if this violates the rights of people in ontario. If every cop that labeled one of us a street racer had that power over us, nobody would have a modified car left.

It will never happen. Cars dont need to have 300 HP to go fast. a 1987 Honda Civic base model with 85 horsepower can travel at 150 km/h. And it will still be equally as dangerous as a 300 HP car driving 150 km/h.

Its way too broad of a statement for it ever to be justifyable.

Cars straight off the dealers will get crushed immediately.
Classic muscle cars would be crushed immediately.
Any 2 door import would be crushed immediately.


Is this justifyable? No.

So I truly doubt it will ever happen.

Oh god I can see court cases piling up already... what about fast cars from the factory, muscle cars, exotics, motor bikes.. what about people racing factory cars with no mods... what about building your daily drive to race on the track? what about body kits? what is or isnt a modification for "obvious street racing" purposes? a body kit? a ricer wing? a loud exhaust? what about a hole in your exhaust that you didnt fix right away? what about a nos tank? what about a fake nos tank like that lame celica that was just in that other thread all jacked up with a parachute?
